Lighting is the foundation of all great photography. In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to see, shape, and control light with intention. Whether you’re shooting portraits, still life, or street photography, mastering light is key to creating depth, emotion, and visual impact. This course breaks down the core principles of natural light, flash, and studio setups—helping you understand how to use light as your most powerful creative tool.
Course Description & Expectations
The objective of this photography lighting course is to provide a solid foundation of the visual and technical skills necessary to pursue and appreciate photography further. This course covers all aspects of photography involving natural light, available light, external camera flashlight, and studio strobe light.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Understand the basic technical aspects of lighting, camera settings, light ratio, continuous/flashlight, hand-held light meter, exposure control for different lighting effects. You will also learn to interpret in-camera reflected light meter readings, identify and make correction in the areas which need to be addressed, communicating and pose your subject.
This vital course is composed of three crucial photography lighting courses; Studio Lighting, Creative Flash Photography, and Natural Light Portraiture Photography.

- Essential Foundation Photography, Intermediate Photography, or equivalent Basic Photography Course
