Lighting, the fundamental concept of photography. This simple yet powerful tool defines form and texture, creates mood and can make or break a composition if you don’t understand it well.
The objective of this photography lighting course is to provide a solid foundation of the visual and technical skills necessary to pursue and appreciate photography further. This course covers all aspects of photography involving natural light, available light, external camera flashlight, and studio strobe light.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Understand the basic technical aspects of lighting, camera settings, light ratio, continuous/flashlight, hand-held light meter, exposure control for different lighting effects. You will also learn to interpret in-camera reflected light meter readings, identify and make correction in the areas which need to be addressed, communicating and pose your subject.
Our training program embraces a three-part format which includes theory, application and review/critique. The sessions are a mixture of classroom, studio and outdoor for the optimal learning experience.

Requirement: Essential Foundation Photography, Intermediate Photography, Basic Photography Course or equivalent, any digital cameras with manual mode with a hot shoe mount, and at least one external flashlight.
