The Photography Mentorship Program is designed to raise the standard of photographers under the guidance of School of Photography Singapore’s lead mentor and award-winning contemporary photographer, Alan Lim. This program offers a unique opportunity to refine both technical skills and visual storytelling through personalised feedback and creative direction.

Program Structure and Focus Areas

This mentorship program runs over 6, 8, or 10 sessions, scheduled once every two weeks. Each session is purposefully structured to accelerate your growth, with activities such as on-location shoots, assignment reviews, photo critiques, or technical guidance—tailored to your performance, challenges, and development goals.

Because of its personalised and responsive nature, the mentorship enables rapid, targeted improvement. When deeper critique is needed, sessions may be conducted online via Zoom for flexibility and focus.

HOW TO APPLY

The workshop is open to anyone with a good level of photographic aptitude. Participants will need to submit one portfolio of 10 works (with short captions), bio, CV, and a short paragraph on what is hoped to be achieved in this program. Participants will be selected based on their portfolio by the mentor.
